Cake Pops + Exploding Box Invitation + Gumball Necklace = A Princess Theme Party

Well i know my daughter's birthday is still on October, it's only July but I'm super excited to celebrate that special day. Aside from being so busy surfing the net for house interior designs, I'm also busy searching for ideas for my pretty bub's 1st Birthday. As usual, i want everything to be handmade by yours truly.

For the Cake

I don't want the classic cake or cupcakes. I want Khloe to have Cake Pops. I find them so cute and much easier to hold and munch. But since I'm not a baker...I'll just order this Cake Pops.

For the Invitation

I want to make her an Exploding Box Invitation, so that i can place all the Digital Scrapbook Pages that i made for her from the time she was born up to his 12th month.

For the Favors

Tip Junkie has been one of my favorite craft blog. If you want clever and fabulous crafts,  Tip Junkie has a lot in store for you.

As i was browsing I saw this cute Gumball Necklace from One Charming Party. It was so cute and fabulous, fit for my planned Princess themed party. I'm now considering it to be one of Khloe's 1st Birthday Favors.

How to make a Gumball Necklace:
1. Using a metal skewer, pierce one side of the gumball. Hold the top of the gumball steady as you guide the skewer (see photo). This will prevent the skewer from slipping off the slick surface of the gumball.
2. Flip the gumball over and pierce another hole directly opposite to the first hole. If you try to poke a hole straight through both sides at once, the gumball will crack.
3. The hardest part is stringing the ribbon. Use a large needle to thread the ribbon through the gumballs. Thinner ribbon is easier to string. Tie a knot between each gumball as you string it.

By the way it's Khloe's 9th Month Birthday today.
Happy Birthday to our Little Princess!
